If our edge pool doesn’t hit the spot, the kids will be excited with the Airlie Beach Lagoon. It’s free and open to everyone and can be found on the foreshore of Airlie Beach. The lagoon offers a wide open fresh water environment for swimmers of all abilities. Younger kids will enjoy the children’s wading pool. Big kids will enjoy the shallow pool, at it’s deepest it’s 1.5m, and then the larger pool up to 2 metres, is all ages and has separate swimming lanes for the enthusiast.
Beyond Airlie Beach you can visit Hamilton Island for the day, take a cruise and dive the Great Barrier Reef, or play an 18 hole round golf course on Dent Island. Dent Island sits right beside Hamilton Island and is just a ten minute ferry ride away from Hamilton Island. A rewarding course for novice and professional alike — the walk and views alone are a sufficient prize, and the clubrooms are the perfect way to end the game with a drink, or meal at the Clubroom restaurant. How about a mountain bike ride over Conway National Park.
